Who Needs To
Both self-employed individuals, freelancers and members of a partnership must file a Self-Assessment (if you earn more than £1,000 from self-employment in a tax year)
Registration
If you are newly self-employed, you must register for Self-Assessment by 5 October following the end of the tax year in which you started your self-employment
Online Filing
Self-Assessments must be filed online by 31 January following the end of the tax year
(for example, 31 January 2025 for the 2023/24 tax year)
